I read the review and I do understand why he thinks it's embarrassing for him. However, Coufos wasn't the only reviewer who ditched Manson. I've read other reviews that were far more intimidating than Coufos' was.
First of all Marilyn got the name of the offender wrong. The name is Polly.
Secondly, Manson has 20 years of experience from this business. He ought to be able to handle criticism in a more mature way than he does.
I get the feeling that this hurts hard. It's not even a joke, because deep down inside Marilyn Manson is well aware of the fact that he no longer has the fire that he had 10 years ago. However, he doesn't officially recognize that he has grown up and that acting like a 15-year old boy isn't so fucking funny when the mirror shows you a face of a 40-year old.
We - the audience - still expect outraged behaviour, and we get some beer spitting and some attempts to sound like a happy indifference snow enjoyer. The thing is that it's not so joyable. And it's not convincing either. Manson - if anyone - knows it. And therefore it becomes so obvious to us as well.

best of all, Polly Coufos is a man. Polly is just his nickname.
So Manson's claims that 'Paula' Coufos tried to fuck him are just an outright lie.
Which naturally leads one to believe that nothing else he claims can be trusted as bearing any modicum of truth.
You hit the nail on the head... shouldn't someone this used to criticism be handling a review a little better than to be crying in public and making up stories about phantom sexual propositions that never happened?

It's sad that Manson chose this path, because it makes him less trustworthy. .......
