Dead by April is a relatively new band at the Swedish music scene. Their music is a mix of metal, rock and pop. This summer they played at Metaltown in Gothenburg. Unfortunately it was a bit difficult for them to keep track on time, and they therefore had to end the show without playing their most famous track. - Shit happens-:)

Right now the band is on tour, which hopefully will give them routine enough to keep up in the future.

It's always hillarious listening to someone speaking Japanese. It's completely impossible to figure out what they're saying. I know that their disciples system is slightly different from ours, but I wonder if they have a different decibel system as well?

Anyway. It's now possible to learn how to count to 20 in Japanese. In case you need to adapt that skill in a hurry.

Can anyone tell me what time it is? The laptop says 11:39, but the mobile phone says it's 12:39.......

It seems as if Telenor again has forgotten to remember that we were supposed to turn back the clocks last night. - Anyway. The risk that anyone will turn up too late for work tomorrow is of course relatively small. Rather, someone will probably come in too early....... I wonder if it will be possible to sue Telenor for that extra hour???

Rammstein and More Bacon Diseases

Either the bacon disease has taken over my body, or my inner biological chemistry has crashed. I sweat like a pig 10 minutes every half hour and my head's aching. I feel sick, and I am profoundly uninterested in my surroundings general welfare. - It took me more or less 1 hour and 2 sweatty rounds to write this blog. The words I'm writing here were my last words at first. - Then I did the cut and paste and went from the end to the beginning. - Isn't it wonderful to be the one who makes the decisions?

Rammstein's new album 'Liebe Ist Für Alle' was ditched and accused of sadistic idle by the Danish newspaper 'Ekstrabladet'. Nevertheless the album took pole position at the Danish Top 40 Album list with 3500 sold albums in 2 days. Well Done Ramsteinn!

The Italian Primeminister, Silvio Berlusconi, is upsetting Italian women with his condescending, male pig opinions. Belusconi controls Italian medias, but on the internet women rules. Italian women is giving him a hard time on facebook and youtube. - Describing a woman as a beauty but unintelligent is not trendy this season.

- I think we can conclude that it wasn't a result of a pig fight that hit Marilyn Manson a coupple of weeks ago. More likely it was a fatamorganic classical case of hallucinations caused by the ghost of absinthe.

Rammstein releases new delux box - Prohibited for Swedes

German industrial metal at its best. - That's Rammstein. Now the band is releasing a new album - and a video of the track 'Pussy'.

'Liebe Ist Für Alle Da' comes in a delux box and includes handcuffs, dildos and lubricant. - However, that version is not being distributed in Sweden. According to Universal in Sweden the content of the box is too pornographic and therefore not something that can be sold in department stores.

Which I think is odd when considering that dildos, handcuffs and lubricant can be bought in other shops.

Very interesting as well that Universal wants to protect the consumers against moral decay. - I believe Universal have a contract with Rammstein, so what is it that's inconvenient all of a sudden?

I have managed to find the censored version of 'Pussy' on Youtube. - I'm not allowed to see the uncensored version due to restrictions made by the interenet's moral guardians.

Bananas

The documentary 'Bananas' is about a group of Nicaraguan banana pickers who sued the multinational company Dole, because they've become sterile due to Doles use of the pesticide DBCP.

Earlier this year, Dole sued the documentary filmmaker, Fredrik Gertten, in an attempt to stop the documentary. However, Dole has now withdrawn their application after being pressured by a group of Swedish parliament members, with regards to freedom of expression.

I did not yet see the documentary myself, but film critics receive it with mixed feelings. Perhaps because of the expectations they might have on a documentary that Dole tried to stop.

Svenska Dagbladet's reviewer accuses Fredrik Gertten of focusing too much on the lawyer who runs the legal process on behalf of the Nicaraguan banana prickers.

However, I think that it is the filmmaker's right to determine what his film should contain - not the film critics.

Backyard Babies at Tyrol - and in your GPS

Marilyn decided to change his tour schedule and skip Stockholm - which is kinda annoying Miss Winty and me since we'd made a lot of very detailed, creative plans. But - if the Diva doesn't want to - then nevermind.

Instead we're gonna see Backyard Babies kick off the 'Them XX Tour' to celebrate their 20 years anniversary.

The gig will be at Restaurant Tyrol at Gröna Lund in Stockholm Januari 28. Ticketsale opens on Monday at 10 am, so at 09:59 my fingers will be in pole position, ready to hit ENTER.

According to the Danish newspaper, Politiken, every second car now has a GPS installed. - Basically I think GPS is rather ridicolous. I have mine inside my head and usually don't tend to get lost in a phone cabin - except for a minor mistake in Munich which I didn't discover until we'd circulated around the entire city a couple of times.........

On the other hand, a GPS is so much more than just a road navigator. It can keep an eye on speed cameras (which is great when your car runs most economically in 150 kmt). - GPS is also the entertainment box of modern times when we explore the world and are out of conversation topics.

You can download music, movies and audiobooks into your GPS. And - the real hitter: If you need a funny voice to guide you through the traffic, you can get Homer Simpson, John Cleese, Lill-Babs or the Backyard Babies in your loudspeakers.

........ by claiming that Polly Coufos was trying to fuck him. - The problem is that Polly is a man, so 'fuck' cannot be as in having sex. Not unless Marilyn Manson is gay, and that we can exclude..... - or........?

PR used to be Mansons strong side. However, on the internet everything can be checked. It's not exactly a good idea to lie about something that can be checked. - It's called 'google', Manson!

Andreas Carlsson, Swedish songwriter working with Celine, Britney, Bon Jovi, Desmond Child, Max Martin etc., said something very clever in an interview this morning:

'As I get older, I, as a creator, worry about losing sight on what works.'

- Manson has lost sight. What works in a face-to-face interview doesn't work when distributing it to everybody on the internet.

When reading the comments on his blog it's quite obvious that noone actually believed or questioned (read 'couldn't care less') what he wrote, because 99% of the commenters are just bitching each other.

For someone who talks so much about what it's like to be discriminated, it's amazing that Manson allows himself to write 'She isn't really smart and her writing is worse than her looks'. ....... Ehhhh .... Excuse me, but where did that come from? Are you bitching people because of their looks?

- Or are there in fact 2 Marilyn Mansons? - A clown who got his hands on the inlogg to the real Marilyn Mansons website, while the real Marilyn Manson took a nap - or died..........

Marilyn Manson Kills Reviewer Like They Do In The Movies

I read the review and I do understand why he thinks it's embarrassing for him. However, Coufos wasn't the only reviewer who ditched Manson. I've read other reviews that were far more intimidating than Coufos' was.

First of all Marilyn got the name of the offender wrong. The name is Polly.

Secondly, Manson has 20 years of experience from this business. He ought to be able to handle criticism in a more mature way than he does.

I get the feeling that this hurts hard. It's not even a joke, because deep down inside Marilyn Manson is well aware of the fact that he no longer has the fire that he had 10 years ago. However, he doesn't officially recognize that he has grown up and that acting like a 15-year old boy isn't so fucking funny when the mirror shows you a face of a 40-year old.

We - the audience - still expect outraged behaviour, and we get some beer spitting and some attempts to sound like a happy indifference snow enjoyer. The thing is that it's not so joyable. And it's not convincing either. Manson - if anyone - knows it. And therefore it becomes so obvious to us as well.

Marilyn Mansons Provo Happening

When I first saw this picture I thought 'My,my,my, someone really's gone wacky'.

Now I'm inclined to the theory that it's a Marilyn Manson happening. Somewhat similar to the Provo happenings in the sixties.

He wrapped his face in a blue fishnet and is holding a cobra sculpture. Symbolizing the celebrity caught in the spin of fame, only being loved by their pets. - Tinkerbells or monkeys or cobras - it's not really relevant. Celebrities like pets because pets love the one who feed them - regardless. - Or - A snakebite is less painfull than the scars Marilyn Manson gets from the outside world that doesn't understand him and has laced him in a net due to misunderstandings etc.

A childish kind of psychology, though very expressive and provocative.

Whatever his intention was, I cannot let go of the feeling of Marilyn Manson being the very symbol of the horror of loosing fame. The fear of becoming a Nobody.

Marilyn Manson exposes himself and shares the most odd threads and pictures with the whole world at his websites. He gets a lot of attention. However I don't think he reads the comments, because if he did it would indicate to him that the majority of his audience has no clue.

Sadly enough with this desire for exposure he has become an addict of fame.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of Backyard Babies, but I adore Dregen - or Dr3g3n as he calls himself at myspace.

I like his attitude and his style. He gives himself 100%!

I recently bought the Babies' 2006 album, People Like People Like People Like Us, and that is a great rock and roll album.

I prefer to see and hear bands live, because that's the only way to find out if the band really is a band or if it's just a joke. - But no reason to be in doubt: Backyard Babies is a great live band.

I did find a couple of live videos of the Babies 'Degenerated', but I also found this video, which I think is kind of cool, because it's partly animated, though I still recognize the band members.

Marilyn Manson Cancels Swedish Concerts

LiveNation cancels Marilyn Mansons 2 concerts in Malmoe and Stockholm in November. LiveNation claims it is due to a change in Mansons tour schedule.

Miss Winty and I are VERY dissapointed. We booked our tickets over a month ago, and we had the best seats you can get in Globen.

Why it's been cancelled is still a mystery. There's no information available on Mansons websites. - Not even silly chat surgestions at the Babalon message Forum which is linked to his official website.

What's going on Manson: Don't you like your Swedish fans anylonger? - Would be nice to know.....

Ever since that idiotic swine flue incident, I've been worried that the tour might be cancelled, because obviously not everything is honky-dory. Manson's been awfully quiet. That's odd. - I kinda miss his threads and bulletins. Not much laugh these days in my world .....
Suddenly I don't have provocative, sarcastic bulletins either........ That's very sad!

And it's sad that you, Marilyn Manson, cancels my golden opportunity to go wild for a coupple of hours. In my age such opportunities rarely come off, so - yeah - I'm a bit pissed to be honest.

Tuesday last week, Marilyn Manson announced on his myspace, facebook and twitter pages that he had been diagnosed with the swine flue. - His bulletin was hilarious. It was clearly some sort of provocative announcement - see me, hear me, ha ha announcement. - It came the day after he sneezed or snotted or whatever you'd like to call it on the audience in - I think it was - Edmonton. Somewhere in Canada. - Wherever - never been there - probably never will go there either.

Most of the comments he received considered that he really was very sick and were full of empathy. - Which was odd, because he wasn't asking for empathy or sympathy. He was making a point. And - in my opinion - testing the free speech limits.

3 days later he declared himself to be in good health again - apart from his mental health.

Then hell broke loos. Someone surgests that Marilyn Manson is breaking the law by fullfilling his concerts despite of being sick in swine flue. And suddenly LiveNation and Gillette Entertainment Group denies that he was ever sick, and his bulletins are removed from myspace, twitter and facebook.

For an artist it's pretty important to expose yourself in the media. Whether you want to sell albums or concert tickets or whatever else - you have to be visible to the audience.

Marilyn Manson is a niche artist. After 20 years he still sells a huge amount of concert tickets. - For a niche artist that's pretty well done.

He is a provocation. He outrages the establishment, the religious, the ultra right wing politicians, the pro-life activists and the media by being a pain in the ass - disputing the moral of these people and the moral of the media.

However - Marilyn Manson is living on his talent to attract the medias attention. And he succeeds. Everytime he announces something - whether it's his call to kill a journalist or a girlfriend, or he simply just says he's sick, he manages to get so much attention that you'd think this was Elvis.

It's a pitty that someone forced him to erase his swine flue messages. Most likely someone threatened him with a major lawsuit just to shut him up.

Which is a shame. However - by removing the messages one of Marilyn Mansons points was proven to be right: Free speech is reserved for nice looking 'gentlemen' in Amarni suits.
